A wonderful respite between the cities of Guanajuato and Mexico City. After 2 1/2 weeks of travel, this was the perfect spot to relax, rest, and recharge. The rooms and beds are very comfortable, and the staff is superb. One of my favorite small hotels. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Matian is a beautiful little hotel. I was in Tequisquiapan for work and not only was the Matian well situated near, but not on top of, the center of town. The pool is warm and well maintained and the tables scattered around the area provide a comfortable spot for breakfast or hanging out. There’s a lovely gate at the entrence which provides safety without compromising aesthetics. It’s locked at night and dutifully opened for any late night entry. We never had to wait any extended period to be allowed in. Which brings me to the best part about the Matian: the service. The small team that works there are so attentive and will remember your preferences and offer them right away the next time. If you’re interested in a bit of sightseeing, they’ll set you up with a plan. Hungry for something specific, they’ll do their best to make it happen - and again the food is some of the best in the town. This is 5-star service in a personal, friendly atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough. This place was a happy oasis on our work trip and I truly hope that I’ll have the opportunity to come back to the Matian.

Rooms are really nice and clean, the food is great and the staff is amazing! The hotel is very cozy and yoy can chill by the pool. I would totally recommend this hotel!

Rafael was amazing during our 1 night stay. He was constantly attentive and service was impeccable. Noise in the room was a bit annoying at times, in the morning and at night since it’s not the best insulated, but everything else was incredible. So if you’re a light a sleeper, bring some earplugs. The location is incredible, so close to downtown and very secure (there’s a gate and people that manage it). And the pool was so warm, even at night. Incredible experience and I would come back.
